Building A Kids Lemonade Stand by Dan The Gardener
Setting up a Kids Lemonade Stand
One of the best things that you can do with your children in the summer is let them run a small neighborhood lemonade stand. Little children are always looking for a way to make a few dollars and a kids lemonade stand allows them to do this and to really have fun and enjoy the time that they are outside. Work with your children for a few days to build a great looking kids lemonade stand that will attract the attention of everyone in the neighborhood and have them quenching your thirst with the beverages that your children are offering.
• Make a Great Kids Lemonade Stand to Put in the Yard
The first thing that you have to do to create a great kids lemonade stand is to make the stand. You want to make sure that your kids have a stand to sit at. They can decorate and make signs that draw attention and you can set up a table for them to sit at. Have them work on things like a price list and a list of what they are offering so that they are ready and prepared. Also, give them a place to put any money that they have earned and be out there to teach them how to make change.
• Have Them Help you Make Lemonade and Goodies
Your kids lemonade stand doesn’t just have to have something to drink and some treats, there are a lot of great things that your children can have there. Make sure that they are helping you make all the goodies and put them to work so that they feel that they are doing something good and that they have created this on their own. It will mean a lot to them to know that they made the brownies, or the cookies, or whatever it is that they may be offering at their lemonade stand.
Let your children have some fun for the day by setting up a neighborhood kids lemonade stand. Having a kids lemonade stand is not only fun, but it will also teach them some great lessons, they will learn about money, and they will learn about working with people. Combine this with having some fun and making a few bucks and it is a great activity to do with your children in the summer. Plus, once you have the basics down, you will be able to set it up over and over again so that they can have another day of it.

Lemonade stands are great, and in our neighborhood they actually work. I’ll have to have my kids start one soon when it gets hot again.
Excellent write up, I’ll be sure to let my neighbors know about this one, they have kids doing stuff like this all the time.
I love that you suggested for them to help plan pricing; this is a great way for children to learn the value of money. Learning + fun = success
I always let my kids mix their own lemonade but usually add a few finishing touches to it, just for safe measure
Nice planning strategy for a lemonade stand, I appreciate the efforts put into thinking all of this up!
Have any tips on what else I can construct the stand out of? If I really wanted to go all out what would I use?
Build it out of solid oak with a platinum trim and a marble counter top!
