Best climate for eggplant?
I've been deciding on growing eggplant for a while now so that I can finally make my very own eggplant parmesan with my own vegetables, but I need to know: What climate is best for growing tasty eggplant?

Thanks!

Hi Chocobo

Eggplants sometimes known as Aubergines do not like the cold weather and should be started of indoors ideally. They like full sun, water and fertile soil organic is best. They do not like the cold, especially frost which often injures them.Sad

If you have a recipe for your eggplant parmesan please send it in as I too love eggplants.

Onoes you are spot on there they really are a king among vegetables, look for a recipe for baba ganoush an aubergine dip. I have friends who grow them in the UK in greenhouses with good results, they are quite prone to pest damage though so need daily inspections.
