Best time to plant a garden?

What time of year, or perhaps what month is best for starting a garden? I know some people talk of starting in early spring, but is it too late to start planting vegetables in June?

I'd say Late spring would be good. Although if you want to now seems like the perfect time as well!

Broad Beans
Runner Beans
French Beans
Courgettes
Beetroot
Early Potatoes
Onions
