Can dogs help in the garden?
Are there anything that a dog can do to help out with garden work, or are they just for fun? If there's something they ca do let me know!

RE: Can dogs help in the garden?
Well, I don't think you're going to see your dog be carrying you any tools that you need (although with a lot of training I'm sure it's possible!).
However, one major way they may help out is by exterminating little pests that may be crawling around your garden, such as: Chipmunks, which eat your berries Shrews Moles, they damage plant roots And other garden pests. My dog has gotten rid of quite a few of these animals himself, a huge help I'd say! |

Well at least you know that he can protect the garden from potential intruders, Dan!
I think that holds a high importance in itself, don't you?

Good points, I didn't realize dogs did this. This also help support that cats may be helpful in the garden! Mine always bring me dead stuff, yuck!

Cute idea, good tip! I'll have to share that one with my friends and family, I also wasn't sure what a dog could do other than be your friend.

Really cool idea, I hadn't thought that they could help in that way. Any other ideas on how they could be useful?

RE: Can dogs help in the garden?
That's all very nice, but currently I only have problems with dogs - one simply will not stay out of my garden!
