RE: Fungi Questions
Hello Florence, I have a question for you:

What types of fungi are dangerous or are known to cause sickness or worse? Anything I should specifically look out for? I have kids myself and I want to make sure to warn them of any types of fungus that may cause harm to their health!

RE: Fungi Questions
I think the general rule is that if you're not sure about it, then don't touch it or eat it even. Tell your kids to stay away from mushrooms.

RE: Fungi Questions
Hello chocobo you must always be careful when picking mushrooms because some of them such as the Amanita family contain deadly mushrooms such as the deathcap and the destroying angel. Thereare many great guides for picking mushrooms I always carry at least two when walking and if I am still unsure I look at the mushroom bible at home. You should try to use a identification guide with photographs and more than one for each species. If you are in doubt do not pick it, there are some wonderful tasting mushrooms out there but there are also some deadly ones so take care Smile
