What is a Cedar Waxwing?
I've heard my uncle talk about these types of birds before, but I've never seen one or heard of one prior to his conversations. What do the look like and where are they found?

Hi Softfee

A Cedar Waxwing is one of my many feathered frieds (A Bird)

They are brown, grey, and lemon-yellow, accented with a subdued crest, rakish black mask, and brilliant-red wax droplets on the wing feathers. In Autumn they gather by the hundreds to eat berries, they have a high-pitched whistle.

Ahh, the waxwing. That's one of my favorite birds as well, if not the favorite.

They have this nice neutral color scheme (usually a light brown coloration) with little brightly colored feathers on the tips of their wings. The wing tips are usually red, whereas the tail feather is a yellow.

Waxwings aren't too common in my area, but when I do see them I always smile.

They're like little bursts of sunshine to my day!

Any tips on how to attract them?

They're kind of like a brown cardinal, that's what they've always looked like to me anyways.

Although they do have cool wing tips.

I'm surprised so many other people on this board like the Waxwing, I thought it to be obscure...
