These little guys can be very beneficial to gardens as they grasp prey, but I fear I don't know enough about them. Do any of you have info on them?

I believe that this might start you off:

Mantodea (or mantises) is an order of insects that contains approximately 2,200 species in 15 families[1] worldwide in temperate and tropical habitats.
