Hi Queenie,

Other than honeybees, are there any other types or insect that are beneficial for your garden? I know there are a lot of bad ones such as ladybeetles, japanese beetles, etc... but I was wondering if any can be good. Thanks Queenie!
Hi

Green Lacewings feed on pollen and are very handy as Green lacewing larvae, do a very good job of devouring plant sucking aphids by the dozens. The lacewings use their curved, pointed mandibles to stab their victims.

Ladybeetles can be beneficial as they do feed on pests also the praying Mantis eat pests as well

I love praying mantid, they look so cool and also do a great job at controlling pests. I've heard that some areas put them on tiny leashes and keep them in their garden so that they stay in the vicinity and eat all the bugs in the garden.
Praying mantis are cool little bugs, they're great for the gardens.

I have heard of people keeping them as pets, their own little personal bug assassins indeed!

Thanks queenie! Just so this topic doesn't become flooded with posts, I'll make sure to help break up the comments between forums.
Thank you very much queenie, I appreciate all of the help you'll provide us! Big Grin
Queenie, you should let the topics be spread out about insects instead of trying to gather them all here. It'll be much cleaner this way!
Yes, let's spread them out all over the forum. It'll make it easier for everyone I think.
Thanks for helping us out Queenie, you've been keeping on top of things in the bee forum for sure!
